A Victorian Walnut Corner Bureau In Queen Anne Style
A beautifully made and rare Walnut Corner Bureau. In Queen Anne style having a fall front which reveals pigeon holes and two small drawers and a central cupboard. The cupboard being flanked by secret pillar slides complete with original lock and key. Below the writing area are three graduated drawers with lovely brass drop handles, the bottom drawer has a wonderfully carved niche to its center. The whole standing on delicately decorated cabriole legs and terminating on pad feet. The piece is very well made and the cabinet maker has used the most attractive crossbanding and oyster veneers to the lower side panels, the bureau has a lovely patina and colour. A beautiful, rare and functional piece of antique furniture for that awkward corner you have always struggled with! Dimensions: 39″ H x 30″ W x 18″ D. The writing slope is 29 inches high and its depth around 17 inches.
