A slatted hardwood ship’s deck seat with life jacket storage Circa 1950. Reclaimed from a Union-Castle Line passengers liner. The Union-Castle Line was a British shipping line that operated a fleet of passenger liners and cargo ships between Europe and Africa from 1900 to 1977. It was formed from the merger of the Union Line and Castle Shipping Line. A historic, well-made piece of English shipping liner furniture. Would make a great focal point in a contemporary or traditional setting. Ideal for a hall, kitchen, games room, dining room, bar, club or restaurant.
