A Beautiful Vintage Peacock Shell Diorama. Incredible skill and craftsmanship with a multitude of different shells used including razor clams for the wings and Mother of Pearl from mollusk shells used for the background. Mounted in a nice understated gilded frame. Possibly dates to the Victorian period as the frame is in that style. A lovely decorative piece that would grace any interior! Some small loses to the edges of some of the shells. Measures 67 cm high by 49 cm wide.
