A Continental Gothic Revival Carved Walnut Hall Stand Circa 1890
A simply stunning and imposing Gothic Revival hall stand. Having a profusely carved upper cornice with finials. Having a central beveled mirror surrounded by gothic arches and carving. Below the mirror is a rouge marble-topped center table with a single drawer. The center section is flanked with stick stands with nicely carved linen-fold panels, drips trays and twisted wrought iron supports. Standing on a molded breakfront plinth. Covered with numerous wrought iron hooks. Probably the nicest hall stand I’ve seen in many a year! Would make a great centerpiece in a modern or traditional home, restaurant, hotel, club or retail space. Signs of old woodworm in several places which we have treated and waxed. Marble has been professionally repaired and losses to upper finials. Overall in sound sturdy condition for age. Dimensions: H 104 in. x W 50.5 in. x D 13.25 in.
