A Rare Antique Industrial Draughtsman Chair by H Mealey Ltd of High Wycombe. Having been sympathetically restored and reupholstered professionally. The seatback has been finished in leather with stud detail and is adjustable via a good solid circular metal dial to its back. The seat pad is nicely shaped and pierced and being fully adjustable in height. The whole standing on four gently swept legs, a circular footrest which terminates on three squat sabre feet. Stamped with maker and H Mealey Limited, High Wycombe. A beautifully made chair in oak and elm having the most wonderful colour and patina. A real find that was lovingly handcrafted at the epicentre of English chair making, High Wycombe. Circa 1920. Would grace any modern or period interior.
