The foreground is set around a smallholding with workers tending the land and their live stock. The stubborn pig refusing to leave his sty is just wonderful. A good decorative painting that wouldn’t be out of place hanging in the home of The Bloomsbury Group, Charleston in Sussex. Signed and dated 1922. In its original oak frame.
