A beautiful landscape painting Titled Faliase (France) Oil On Canvas by Georges Soteras (1917-1990). The artist captures the hillside vista beautifully with good depth and colour. We especially like light from the setting sun to the left of the painting.
Georges Soteras was born in in Barcelona, Spain in 1917. He joined the Republican army from 1936 to 1939 after which he settled in France. In 1959 he became a member of the group of Catalan painters Art Nostre, with Clavé, Grau Sala, Salès and others. He was also an accomplished illustrator.
