1960s Aldo Tura Lacquered Goatskin Round Side Table

This distinctive side table by Aldo Tura dates to the late 1950’s to early 1960s and showcases his signature use of richly finished materials. The circular top is clad in lacquered goatskin mottled amber tones that give it a unique, almost textured look. At the centre, a lithographically printed Trompe l’oeil scene reminiscent of classical engravings featuring duelling knights.

The table stands on a brass tripod base with a central wooden column, giving it a sculptural, almost rocket-like silhouette. A striking mix of materials and mid-century design, this piece works well as a coffee, side or accent table in a range of settings.
