A Large Studio Pottery Vase by David Weake of Penybont. Beautifully crafted featuring a seaside and fishing theme. The tapered body terminates with a large base which is decorated with charming pieces such as a fishing boat, pebbles, fishing nets, seaweed, shells, sea groin and a rock formation. The pottery is finished in an attractive grey green glaze reminiscent of the sea. For those who are perhaps looking for a statement piece or something to remind them of the sea or summer holidays look no further!

David Weake was a Welsh potter who lived at the Police House in Penybont and as well as being Head of Art at Llandrindod High School, was a celebrated potter and competent uni-cyclist. The locals remember him fondly from when every child in the Parish was given a brown and white mug in slipware in memory of the 1969 Investiture of the Prince of Wales. Dimensions: 43cm H x 39cm W
