A stunning Midcentury Floating Rosewood Sideboard by Robert Heritage Circa 1960. This rarer model was made to be fixed to the wall as to give the appearance of it floating. It’s easily enough to attach legs and we can supply these at extra cost. Robert Heritage was born in Birmingham 1927. He studied art at the Birmingham College of Art and later at the Royal College of Art, where he met his wife Dorothy, a textile designer. Together they founded a studio in 1953. It was here that Heritage started designing furniture. Heritage used high quality materials such as rosewood, yew, walnut and teak to create designs with clean lines and ergonomic forms, his most famous pieces being the Hamilton Sideboard and the Drum Table both produced by Archie Shine.
