Description

A handsome pair of demilune console tables, likely 19th century, in the Louis XVI Revival manner.
Each has a rich giltwood frame with a running scroll-carved frieze, square tapering legs with bellflower detail, and a arched stretcher with fluted decoration.
The tops are dark green, white‑veined marble, probably Verde Alpi.
Well proportioned for a hall, landing or to flank a doorway or fireplace. Equally good placed under a mirror or used as lamp tables.
Condition:
Good decorative condition for age with expected wear to the gilding and areas of gesso loss and rubbing throughout.
Solid and ready to place.
