Pair Of Carved Walnut Table Bookcases Circa 1920

A delightful and beautifully carved pair of walnut bookcases datings to the early 1900s. Profusely carved with putti, griffins, phoenixes, horses and fish. Of pentagonal form the shelves are interspersed with heavily carved panels. They have a lovely grain and warm patina. Very functional by providing not just book storage but good sized table tops too. Some of the shelves are adjustable and some are fixed. A functional and good looking piece of furniture that would work well in a study, library, lounge, conservatory, bedroom, pub, hotel, commercial or retail space.
