A fabulous and highly individual pair of handcrafted solid mahogany chairs, combining bold construction with a distinctly Brutalist and Arts & Crafts character.
Low slung and wonderfully chunky, each chair features a thick slab seat, substantial trestle base, exposed pegged joints and a particularly striking castellated back. The slab seats are nicely finished with chamfered edges to the front and sides, a subtle detail that softens their otherwise robust construction.
The visible construction and oversized joinery give them an almost architectural quality, while the rich mahogany has developed a warm, characterful patina.
Exceptionally well made and reassuringly solid, these are unusual statement chairs with real presence. Equally at home in a contemporary or period interior.
