A delightful pair of oak, walnut and possibly cherry Art Nouveau Armchairs with original leather seats in the manner of Louis Majorelle Circa 1900. The gently arched top rail sits above a carved and decorated back slat with carved motif. The slightly out-swept arms sit nicely over the leather seat pad which have stud detail and applied floral detail, typical of the period. The whole standing on handsome legs the rear legs of sabre form. The front legs are square and tapered, having carved knee and terminating in pedestal feet. The chairs have the look and style of Louis Majorelle who worked in Nancy, France in the late C19th to the early C20th. A good looking pair of chairs with beautiful organic lines.
