Description

A characterful garden seating set made from large sections of root or driftwood, probably mid to late 20th century.
The bench is formed from a thick, contoured slab with integral back and three splayed legs; the low table echoes the same organic, live-edged form. Surfaces have weathered to a soft silver-grey with natural checks, voids and tool marks visible—features that celebrate the timber’s origin and hand craftsmanship. The set reads as sculpture in the landscape while remaining practical. The bench offers a comfortable shallow scoop to the seat and the table works well as a coffee/serving height for a terrace or garden room.
Suitable for outdoor use; the timber may continue to move with the seasons. If a deeper tone is preferred, an exterior oil could be applied, otherwise allow the silvered patina to continue developing.
